At the Centennial, you'll pay $34.90 ($21.95 + $12.95 crab buy-up) on a weekday and $33.95 on Saturdays and Sundays for all-you-can-eat crab. Food was terrible, sums it up. The service was not good. The crab legs were a good size and tasted fresher - The meat came out of the shell easily and in one piece. I am not a fan of buffets to begin with - they creep me.

For a standard hotel casino buffet I would give this a low-3 stars, but compared to its sister property the Atlantis in Reno this is borderline terrible.

Ahh...the Buffet and the Monarch Casino. Crab is only served on weekends after 4 pm, but available other times for an extra cost. Friday. The entire buffet experience was a disaster. Our service tonight was attentive, friendly, and frankly exceptional; it made for a very pleasant dinner.Overall, the Monarch buffet redeemed itself with us. Honestly, I couldn't even eat it. While the lobster was average, the crab was great, and the dessert selection was solid. The whole lobster is a whole lot of work, so I say go for the lobster tail.
Best part of the buffet was the salad bar. The Asian Station is open in Centennial Buffet.

The price goes up on the weekends by 3 or 4 dollars. We used our player's cards to get a small discount on the meal. This is the best Black Hawk buffet if you are seeking seafood. The crab legs were good, typically you'd expect to not like some food at a buffet but honestly at this one everything I did try was good. We had comps and used them for Breakfast .

Based on some other reviews, I think this buffet might have a bit more to offer in the seafood department, which I'm allergic to, so I guess I just didn't quite fit the profile of this place.It appeared to have been recently renovated in a style similar to the mainstream casino.
