The group rose to fame in the early 90’s with the hits, Friend Of Mine, IE IE and You Will Never Find and received worldwide recognition for their ability to combine Rap, Pop, and R&B with exciting performances. As a beginning musician, Jones started on the drums and switched to trumpet in the fifth grade after his grandmother told him about his grandfather playing the instrument during World War II. As a session musician, Jones has performed with several notable ensembles and musicians, including Tia Fuller, Gerald Wilson, Joe Lovano, Tom Harrell, Jon Faddis, Jimmy Heath and Frank Foster. Jones went on to play 6 seasons for the Oilers, amassing 50 sacks during this time.
